At the end of the 21st century we discovered by sheer accident that we were not alone in the universe. Seventy years later, most of Humanity had already resolved to look for new opportunities outside Earth. This is Flavia's case. After losing her job on a project in the Amazon, Flávia decides to join the crew of Lucille, a century-old space freighter (not to mention falling apart). The crew embarks on a journey of exploration to Ganthak 4, a wild planet under the watchful eyes of the monolithic League of Worlds. Among its passengers are a pacifist scientist capable of killing with a thought, an alien sub-celebrity pursued by smart cameras, a security guard with a strange code of honor and a young student who appears to have boarded the wrong ship. The journey becomes even more complicated when a bounty hunter appears willing to do anything to capture the captain of the ship. Joining the cast are Captain Gerard Baudin, asteroid miner Ngari Kabela, alien doctor L'yy, who cares for people and machines with equal care, and Awerg, an artificial intelligence with very little love for humans. Along the way, the troupe is faced with dozens of unexpected challenges in half a dozen strange worlds.
